Week 1
Cookie Pucks!
There’s something undeniably fun about desserts on a stick, and today I’m diving into a little experiment in the kitchen: cookie pucks. My goal is to play with texture, flavor, and presentation to see how I can elevate these bite‑sized treats for future menu possibilities.
To start, I’m taking a batch of freshly baked cookies and crumbling them into a soft mixture with frosting. This creates a dough-like consistency that’s perfect for shaping. Once everything is well combined, I mold the mixture into smooth, even rounds and pop them into the fridge to firm up.
While they chill, I melt a generous amount of chocolate until it’s silky and ready. When the cookie molds are set, I remove them from the fridge, add the melted chocolate, and gently insert the chilled cookie into the center of the cookie chocolate filled mold.
After that, it’s just a matter of letting the chocolate set and dry into a glossy, irresistible shell. Et voilà — the results are in, and I think the picture speaks for itself. This little test run was equal parts fun and delicious, and it’s giving me plenty of ideas for how to refine and elevate these treats even further. I’m excited to keep experimenting and share the next round of sweet surprises with you next week.
