🍓 A Sweet Surprise: Crafting Strawberry Jam–Filled Cookies

Some cookies are comforting, some are nostalgic, and some feel like a tiny burst of joy the moment you bite into them. These Strawberry Jam–Filled Cookies fall beautifully into that last category — soft, buttery, and hiding a bright, fruity center that turns every bite into a little moment of delight.

This week in the Kuuki kitchen, I’ve been working on a batch that blends creamy sweetness with a playful, jammy heart. Here’s a peek behind the scenes.

🍫 Building the Dough

The base of this cookie starts with a classic dough, but with a twist: white chocolate chips folded in for extra sweetness and texture. The chips melt just enough during baking to create pockets of creamy richness that pair perfectly with the strawberry filling.

Once the dough comes together, it’s rolled into smooth, even balls and tucked into the refrigerator for 24–48 hours. This resting time deepens the flavor, improves the structure, and helps the cookies bake up thick, soft, and beautifully golden.

🍓 Filling Each Cookie With Love

When the dough is fully chilled, the magic begins.

Each dough ball is gently opened — almost like forming a tiny cup with your hands. Into that little pocket goes a spoonful of strawberry jam, bright and fragrant. The dough is then carefully closed back up, sealing the jam inside so it stays hidden until the first bite.

This step feels a bit like wrapping a sweet secret inside each cookie.

🔥 Baking to Perfection

Once filled and sealed, the cookies are placed on a baking sheet and baked until the edges turn golden and the centers stay soft. As they warm in the oven, the jam melts into a luscious, fruity core that contrasts beautifully with the buttery dough and creamy white chocolate.

The result is a cookie that’s tender, sweet, and bursting with strawberry flavor — a perfect treat for anyone who loves a little surprise in their dessert.
